January was gone in a blink
of an eye. February seems to be
streaming by even faster.
Ground hog's day has come and
gone. I am pretty sure the ground hog
did not see his shadow today. I saw
spring crocus blooming to today. My
tulips are almost six inches tall. My
rhubarb plants are waking up and starting to peek out above the soil. Trees are starting to bloom. (Too all my friends who live in the deep
freeze parts of the world, my sympathies.
The Pacific Northwest is like perpetual springtime.)
Work has taken a positive
turn. I started working in a different
classroom this quarter and the difference between first/second graders and
third/fourth/fifth graders is amazing and amazing in a very good way. The older the kids, the more I like hanging
out with them. They can talk about
things. They like the same kind of stuff
I like. Deep down inside I am probable a
ten year old boy. Go figure.
I am all caught up on
streaming all the previous "Vikings" episodes and am very much
looking forward to the new season starting up again in a week or so. You gotta love a show with such kick butt
women like Lagertha. And all the scenes
with hunky guys without shirts, lots of tats and 'big swords' cannot be
overlooked. And after that "Game of
Thrones" will be coming along soon.
